Highlights of Events

Hillary Clinton for President: Produced web announcement of candidacy, campaign webchats, and live television & internet broadcast of National Town Hall with 22 live remotes prior to Super Tuesday. Directed and Field Produced television ads.

Democratic National Convention: Produced the Democratic National Convention’s first-ever television and internet broadcast of its own 4-day convention at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Developed strategic partnerships and managed in-kind contributions from corporate sponsors for satellite space, on-site displays, Hi-Definition broadcast and 360 streaming video feeds at Staples Center.

Negotiated programming distribution deals with cable, on-line and broadband outlets.

Approved content and routing of digital media in convention hall, media village and internet press.

Supervised “Dems Uncut” video crews from USC Film School.

Managed cabling issues for high definition and standard definition routing to multiple screens and outlets.

NetAid: Managed Directed and Produced live television and internet broadcast of the launch of www.netaid.org including satellite teleconference with President Bill Clinton, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former South African President Nelson Mandela and United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Bono, Wyclef Jean, David Bowie, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Quincy Jones, Cisco Systems President John Chambers and Vice President Don Listwin. (September, 1999)

Coordinated with Akamai Technologies, KPMG, and Cisco to set up display area for press, Press filing center, and VIP area.

Live Concert from the UN with Wyclef Jean streamed on the web by Real Networks. Giants Stadium Concert: David Goldberg / Don Mischer, VH-1/MTV and Wembley Stadium / England: Harvey Goldsmith BBC and Palais des Nations Geneva: David Wilkenson.

Johnson & Johnson’s National SAFE KIDS Campaign (1987-1999) Directed and staged all national press events, leadership conferences and simultaneous media tours to TV markets in all 50 states. J&J wants to be known as the company that cares about kids and families. They were the largest corporate sponsor of www.SAFEKIDS.org. The goal was to reduce the number of preventable injuries among kids 14 and under.

The largest event was the SAFE KIDS Gear Up Games - staged on 3 consecutive days in NY central park, DC Ellipse and LA Zoo. Tents included safety lessons for Bicycle helmets; smoke detectors Stop, Drop and Roll; and water safety.

The annual SAFE KIDS Week usually included a Congressional Hearing, Press Conference, Organizing Conference and Dinner.

Clinton/Gore for President (1992) Managed all aspects of the Television production for the multi-million dollar campaign; Staged and Managed one-hour live TV special including 4-city teleconference; assisted in negotiation of the Town Meeting Presidential Debate with NBC, Bush and Perot campaigns; Staged 13-hour national media tour during launch of campaign; and staged Clinton’s announcement for President.

Kaiser Permanente: Early Childhood Development Forums (NY) – Managed and Staged two national forums at the Plaza Hotel and news conferences with HHS Secretary Donna Shalala and Health Care CEO’s. (1998)

Air Bag & Seat Belt Safety Campaign / National Safety Council: Staged and Managed simultaneous press events and a same-day national press feed of footage from 5 cities. The campaign to get more people to buckle up through education, enforcement and enacting legislation started with an 11-city 3-day kick-off press tour including mobile billboards from San Diego to Sacramento, Chicago to Cleveland, and DC to Boston.

Staged police seat belt checkpoints as a backdrop to a press conference in advance of Memorial Day and Thanksgiving Day travel holidays.

MEDIA LINK said that the campaign had more hits on this launch than they had with Coca-Cola changing back from new coke to the old recipe.

American Association of Health Plans ’95-’99: Managed, staged and directed annual press conference on US Capitol grounds; and staged press conference and satellite hookups for annual conferences in San Diego and San Francisco.

The Disney Channel 10th Anniversary Tour (1993) L.A. to N.Y., Managed a 14 consecutive day bus tour for a live production and related promotional activities for The Disney Channel. Characters from Adventures in Wonderland and singers from the New Mickey Mouse Club.
